| DIALOG VARIATION & ROLE PLAY
Task A
Based on the previous dialog, four students role play a courtship scene. Student A is courting Student B. Student C and D play the role of the parents or grandparents of the woman. Students re-enact a “harana” scene using the song “Dungawin mo Hirang.”
Task B
In a “chat room,” Student A and Student B hook-up and enact a cyber courtship.
Task C
Students role play Bonifacio and the Katipunan members expressing their love for Inang Pilipinas while signing their names in their own blood. Students can be assigned to research on this.
Sentences students can use:
Iniibig ko ang Pilipinas. I love the Philippines
Sumpa ko ang aking dugo. I swear by my blood.
Dakila ang pag-ibig ko sa bayan. My love for the motherland is noble.
Mabuhay ang PIlipinas! Long live the Philippines!
Sugod mga kapatid! Attack (forward) brethren!
Mabuhay ang Katipunan! Long live the Society!
Inaalay ko ang buhay ko, lumaya ka lamang. I offer my life, that you may be free.
