Clothes for specific place/occasion are used with pang-, pan-, or pam-

Use pan with words beginning with: d, l, r, s, or t
Use pam with words beginning with b or p
Use pang- with words beginning with everything else

Notice that the choice depends on the assimilation of the affix’s final nasal consonant /m/, /n/, /ng/ into the initial sound of the following root word.  The nasal seeks the point of articulation closest to the initial consonant or [glottal stop (‘) + vowel]  of the following word.

pambahay-for the house
pang-‘opisina- for the office
damit na pangkasal- wedding dress
