SALIN NG PAG-UUSAP

Malou and Lita See Each Other at a university in California
Malou:  Hey Lita where are you going?  Seems that you’re hurrying?
Lita:  I am rushing to the Consulate in San Francisco.
Malou:  Why, are you going home to our (country)?
Lita:  No, not really,  I’m just going to vote.
Malou:  Going to vote?  But you’re a U.S. citizen already, aren’t you?
Lita:  Hey no, I’m already a U.S. citizen, but I’m also still a citizen of the Philippines.
Malou:  But on the other hand, you’re good, you’re a citizen of two countries.
Lita:  Yeah, in fact my dad nagged me (about this).  He said I should not forget where I came from and to also remain a Filipino.
Malou:  Ah, that could be nice, how do you become a dual citizen?
Lita:  It’s easy, just go to the Consulate in San Francisco and register.  They will double-check what you wrote down in the application form for dual citizenship, and then you’re already approved.
Malou:  Fine, I’ll certainly do that too.  Please tell your Dad to help me should I encounter problems.
Lita:  Not a problem, if it’s just that.  Goodbye, I might be late.
