Nestor: I heard that there will be an event to honor Prof. Liwanag on November 15th.
Romy: Isn’t he the Visiting Professor from U.P.
Nestor: Yes, he is. He is teaching Filipino Cinema here at the Asian Studies Department as Distinguished Scholar. Just this semester.
Romy: Oh, only this semester? I thought she is tenured already.
Nestor: No. There is only one permanent professor here. That’s why I want to go to the event/reception. The Humanities Dean and a few famous Fil-Am writers in California will also be attending. We’ll see each other there, okay?
Romy: I’m not sure. What time will it be anyway? I have a study group meeting at three in Evans.
Nestor: But the reception won’t be until five o’clock. It’s at the Faculty Club. It’s just near Evans. Go to the reception first. Afterwards, proceed to your study group. On the 15th at 5:00 at Evans, okay?
Romy: Ok, Most likely..
Nestor: (That’s what I like about you.) or.. That’s more like it. You’re a real trooper.
