Variation:  Students may substitute other Philippine supernatural creatures and other elements for the words in the boxes above, varying their attributes accordingly. Visual aids and costumes are encouraged.

EMCEE:  Magandang gabi po sa kanilang lahat.  Naririto na naman tayo sa “Halowin sa Amerika- 200___.”  Meron po tayong mga bisita ngayong gabi mula pa sa 7, 100 islands ng napakagandang Pilipinas.

EMCEE:  Magandang gabi po Don Aswang.
DON ASWANG:_______________________.
EMCEE:  Kumusta po ang kapuluan ng Pilipinas?
DON ASWANG:  ___________________________. 
EMCEE:  Maganda yata ang costume n’yo (ninyo) ngayon!
DON ASWANG:  Aba oo.  Ako’y (ako ay) isang pusa ngayon.  Cute ba?
EMCEE:  Aba, napaka-cute.  Hindi nakakatakot.
DON ASWANG:  Siyanga pala, ito si Manananggal pinsan ko siya.
EMCEE:  Nagagalak po akong makilala kayo.
DONYA MANANANGGAL:  Ako rin G. Emcee.  Gusto kong ipakita sa inyo ang aking natatanging talino.  (special talent).
EMCEE:  Ano po ‘yon?
DONYA M:  Maestro, musika!  Daran…. Natatanggal ko (I can remove)) ang kalahati ng katawan ko (half of my body.  Naiiwan (iwan- leave) ang ibaba, habang lumilipad ang kalahati sa gabi.
LAHAT:  WAW na WAW!

The learner will be evaluated in the following areas:

  • Script-writer – provides group and teacher with a copy of script that the group develops. _________
  • Time keeper – manages group’s wise use of meetings and practice time, reminds people of meetings and attendance in class during skit writing. __________
  • Producer – organizes meeting time, emails the group, and co-directs with director. ____________
  • Director – oversees blocking of scenes, entrances, exits, cues. ____________

 

Assessment of Skit Presentation:

The instructor will evaluate your presentation individually according to how well you memorized your lines, your pronunciation and intonation, your use of newly acquired vocabulary,  your use of expressions and grammatical structure, your appropriate incorporation of culture into you skit.  Have fun!
